Our Doctors

Dr. Thomas J. Huisman is a graduate of West Ottawa High and the University of Michigan, where he earned his DDS. He purchased our dental practice in Holland in 1972, moved to a new location in 1981, and built a new office at our present location in 2001.
Dr. Tom and his wife, Bonnie, have three grown children. Lisa, an assistant professor of music education at Case Western University, gave the couple their first grandchild in July. Andy is a PhD student at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Jeff joined his father in the dental practice in 2001. |
Dr. Tom is an avid reader and a member of Faith Church in Zeeland. He likes to fish, and these days he’s enjoying being a grandfather.

Dr. Jeff Huisman started working in his father’s office before he graduated from Zeeland High School. He earned a bachelor's degree from Calvin College and then a DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. He joined his father’s practice in 2001.
Dr. Jeff and his wife, Amanda, both musicians, met while singing in Calvin College’s Alumni choir. Today, Dr. Jeff teaches and participates in programs at Christ Memorial Church in Holland. He also loves cooking and enjoys playing with Bolt, the couple’s white German Shepherd. |
Our Team
Joye, Kara, and Sandi are our dedicated dental assistants. They make sure that our patients' appointments go smoothly and that our patients are comfortable at all times. They love taking the time to get to know our patients better, and their ready smiles and laughter keep everyone relaxed. |

Karen, Diana, and Candy are our hygienists. Some of our patients know them from cleaning and polishing appointments; others know them as the people who helped them keep their teeth by stopping periodontal diseases. Either way, our patients know our hygienists are educators as well as clinicians. They're always happy to help our patients with any questions about how their oral health can best be protected or regained. |

Sally, Kim, Erin, Bonnie, and Monika are our patient care coordinators. Theirs are the friendly voices you hear on the phone when you call to schedule an appointment. They are also experts in helping our patients design comfortable ways to afford the treatment they have chosen.
